
Renee Maranan
Washington, USRenée Maranan is a vocal instructor, singer/songwriter, and the creator of the Monday Motivation content at The Balanced Singer. Renée has over 17 years of experience as a vocal instructor, starting out as a teacher in Vancouver, BC (Canada) before establishing her private studio in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. She is a certified Mentor-level instructor and Ambassador with the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), and she is also a full member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
Having had lifelong struggles with stage fright, Renée has a strong personal interest in peak performance psychology, reviewing a growing list of resources on the topic and sharing her knowledge to help students cope with performance anxiety. Her mission is to ensure that her students come out of each lesson with more knowledge, confidence, inspiration, and love for the craft of singing.
When Renée isn’t teaching private lessons, she spends her time writing and recording her original music. She loves to perform or vocal direct at local community theatre productions. She is also a writer, public speaker, and freelance marketing consultant. She is a terrible gardener, but she tries really hard and is killing fewer plants each year.
